Great News – Laser Spine Institute Makes Surgical Procedures More Affordable to Patients

If you've been a regular visitor to our Facebook page, you know that one of the common topics of discussion is the cost of Laser Spine Institute's endoscopic procedures, and whether insurance policies will cover them. The good news is that a number of developments have worked to lower the cost of treatment to many patients.  Although every situation is different, we think you’ll find our minimally invasive spine procedures are more accessible than ever.

Over the past few years, Laser Spine Institute’s working relationships with health insurance companies have expanded. Today, we accept most major insurance plans for our endoscopic spine procedures; so many patients are only responsible for their out-of-pocket expenses. The average out-of-pocket costs for Laser Spine Institute patients have decreased from 90% of surgical expense in 2008 to just 30% in 2010.

In addition, Laser Spine Institute now has in-network benefits with UnitedHealthcare and its affiliates, and is in network with a number of leading preferred provider organizations. These relationships represent more than 100 million people throughout North America.

Laser Spine Institute physicians are in contract with Medicare for the professional services that they provide. Our facility fees are not currently covered by Medicare. For your convenience, we'll handle all the paperwork for claims for Medicare reimbursement. It’s important to note that even for private-paying patients, our costs are generally less than conventional open back or neck surgery. In addition, Laser Spine Institute offers several financing plans that many patients find invaluable in helping them get the endoscopic spine procedures they need.

To find out just how affordable proven back and neck pain relief can be, we invite you to contact a Laser Spine Institute Patient Coordinator today at 1-866-454-2911. They will be glad to discuss your specific benefit eligibility and answer any other financial questions you may have.
