Laser Spine Institute in the Community

Laser Spine Institute Hosts Clothing Drive to Benefit Local Nonprofit

Child PlayingLaser Spine Institute is proud to highlight our involvement in a clothing drive to benefit Clothes to Kids, a nonprofit organization based in Pinellas County, Florida with the mission of providing school-aged children from low-income families with adequate clothing. Since its inception in 2002, Clothes to Kids has given more than 55,000 wardrobes to Pinellas County children so that they can attend school with the confidence and self-esteem needed to achieve academic success.

"We at Laser Spine Institute are pleased to announce the 2011 Clothes to Kids clothing drive," said Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute. "Clothes to Kids is an outstanding organization that provides children with basic necessities that most children take for granted. We are honored to be able to have this opportunity to support its mission and help provide the children of our community with basic clothing needs and the ability to succeed academically."

Laser Spine Institute Year in Review: Looking Back at 2008

Since opening our doors in 2005, Laser Spine Institute has made significant strides. Our innovative approach to minimally invasive spine surgery and our commitment to providing outstanding service have built our rock solid reputation.  Understanding the vital role that these elements play, we continually strive to improve these areas; in essence, enhancing the total Laser Spine Institue patient experience.  During this year, many of our ideas were translated into action. I will share with you a number of significant events for Laser Spine Institute in 2008. Over the course of this past year, we embarked upon an "expand and improve" project in four main areas, namely, personnel, facility, technology, and service.

Personnel - important company-wide investments to better serve our growing patient family.

The Thrill of Victory and the Agony of Defeat

I am sure that many of you remember the opening remarks by Jim McKay, the great sportscaster, introducing the legendary weekend show "The Wild World of Sports." This was exactly how I felt last week when Dr. St. Louis and I stood before the legends of the NFL, proudly announcing our gift of $1 million dollars to Mike Ditka's Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund, a fund to help former players with dire needs. Later this week, I will be be posting video clips of our announcement at the press conference.
